And it starts..

Today the kids had a two hour school delay due to icy roads and snow. With the extra time you would expect that would benefit me but it threw off my “routine” just enough that I felt off all day. While making the lunches the kids were outside shoveling the porch. NO they don’t normally shovel the porch, it just happended there wasn’t enough snow to actually “play” in and since it was the first of the year it was still new so shoveling didn’t seem like actual work.

Well, both kids have RED SOX kids nation tin lunch boxes, and I packed their lunches and stuffed them in their back packs with homework and shoes. Didn’t think twice until this conversation after they got off the bus….

“Mom, you packed my lunch in Taylors lunch box”

“well that’s ok, they are both the same. Yours just has more dents in it”

“NOOO Taylor has a Hannah Montana sticker on hers”

“oh, I didn’t really notice. ”

“MOMMM everyone laughed at me at snack time”

“But you like Hannah Montana”

“BUT THAT WAS MY SECRET”

“ohhhhh”

“AND Jake told Alex without my emission” Yes he tried to mean Permission.

So this conversation along with my daughter making the boys and me sit in the back of the movie theatre the other day when she went to the movies with girl scouts just makes me say “THIS starts already???”
