Lessons a WAHM learned from the “Gurus”
Hi! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. You'll get all my posts plus private posts plus special offers I occasionally share with my subscribers for free!
I haven’t been posting as much as I would like, I’ll admit it. I’ve been so busy reading and trying to learn about how to apply lessons of internet marketing that I got caught up and well, neglected my own blog. I changed themes- some parts are still unfinished, need to complete.
But also, while I was reading all the blogs I found myself in a position of do I blog to share just knowledge or do I blog to share the chaos of my daily life or basically what direction do I take? Then I’ll admit it was about 3 a.m. and it hit me… well, my blog is that of the behind the scenes, real life workings of a work at home mom- and well, that’s okay. I can share my lessons, knowledge AND CHAOS!
So here is my first post that includes a summary of what I have learned so far at an extremely high level that I will be going into greater depth with upcoming posts as well as updating all my personal posts including the one about my latest batch of foster kittens that have arrived, my nephew that has been in Navy Boot Camp and my letters to him everyday have been stealing all my blog posts and he send a letter thanking me for my “DYSFUNCTIONAL” (he meant that in a good way) family stories that help give him something to look forward to. I’ll pull those letters out and post- love that kid especially his own stories of poop schedules in boot camp and banana pudding substances coming out of his nose during gas chamber training.
AHH The Good Stuff is Coming BACK People!!! I’m excited about blogging again!
Here is my top favorites list of what this WAHM has Learned from the Internet Marketing Gurus-
- Capture Emails- You NEED to capture those readers/visitors so you can build your list
- Sales Letters- I’ve actually learned to appreciate the art of sales letter copy and ashamed that I didn’t put much effort into this area of business
- Autoresponders- Especially for the one person business, use those autoresponders!
- Affiliate Marketing- Extra revenue streams add up
- Use FREE Ads and HOW to use them the right way
- Article Marketing- What a huge topic this one is- I can’t wait to share!
- Have your own personality and let it shine!
- Keywords and Niches- so much information and how many people miss this one
- This is the killer- I’m sneaking it into the middle to see if you catch it- ready? “Don’t make a product and try to sell it- Find a Need and FILL it!”
- Give away quality content
- Power of PLR
- Consistency
- Statistics and Numbers - a WAHM weakness in my opinion
- Education- Keep Learning!
So more to come on each of the above and I can’t wait to share all the neat tips, tricks and strategies that I have been absorbing. Some of them I’ll be doing as I show you and you can follow along. Subscribe so you don’t miss out and I’ll even be sending some special tricks to my subscribers that won’t be posted!

Got something to say?

I kind of have that problem too. I either spend my time writing posts, but I’m not learning anything new. Or I’m networking, etc. and not posting. Its hard to find time for both.
Include the chaos!
It’s real - it’s life as a WAHM. other potential wahm’s need to know about the real behind the scenes stuff. It’s not all glory lol
I try to relate the chaos back to ‘luckily I’m a wahm so…’ and that kinda ties it in with the whole work at home theme and keeps the blog on track theme-wise for the search engines (at least I hope so lol).
